Looking Ahead

to The '06 Drive

If you like to drive that collectible car of yours as well as show it, we invite you to join us for this scenic tour to the coast and back, the day before the Palo Alto Concours. The drive begins at 9 AM in the parking lot of the Stanford Shopping Center where you will be served coffee and snacks while enjoying a "sneak preview" of the car show.

At 10 AM the CHP will lead our procession for a drive over to the coast. Your souvenir route book will point out historic locations along the way, comparing then and now. We have a "loop-back" in the route, so you'll be able to see your fellow participants coming the other way.

At the end of The Drive, you will enjoy a catered lunch at to one of the most emulated private car clubs in the world, If you've never heard of the "Candy Store," you're in for a very special treat to dine in the midst of a prestigious collection of fine automobiles - a treat never available to the general public. Even if you have been there before, the cars are always changing, so you're bound to see something new. Be sure to reserve early as space is limited.

The cost and details of this special event is $65 per person, and part of your entry fee will be donated to the Palo Alto Lion's Club charity as well. Advanced registration is required.
