Ford-Lincoln-Mercury

Mercury Cougar Eliminator Concept Vehicle

The Eliminator strenghtens the critically acclaimed styling of the Cougar with bold interior changes and performance enhancements. One of the primary goals of the Eliminator was to use off-the-shelf aftermarket high-performance components, so new Cougar owners could replicate many of the modifications. It is equipped with a 300hp 3-liter 24 valve intercooled supercharged engine, 18 inch aluminum wheels, a body kit, suspension and brake upgrades.

Roush Stage 2 Cougar

Performance is a natural outgrowth of Roush Racing, and they have applied their racing experience to not only improve the handling and performance of the Cougar, but to enhance its styling. Features of the Stage 2 package include an exclusive 5 piece body styling kit, lowering/handling springs, and eleven-spoke 17 inch wheels shod with performance tires.

SO-CAL Focus Grand Touring Wagon (GTW)

Constructed by SO-CAL Speedshop the GTW debuted at the 1999 SEMA Show to rave reviews. Going for that smoothed-out, monochromatic, Autobahn-cruiser look, SO-CAL Speed Shop shaved the roof rack and antenna, and color coded many of the normally black parts. Suspension modifications and a 270hp turbocharged engine complete the package.

Wings West

Paxton Supercharged Cougar

Paxton Automotive Corp. has created a complete package to increase the overall performance and the already good looks of the Cougar. In addition to body en-hancements, a Paxton supercharger and supplemntal engine management system boosts the stock horsepower 60% to 183hp. 18 inch aluminum wheels, upgraded suspension, and massive brakes complete the package.

Mercury Cougar

As Lincoln’s newest compact car for California, Wings West felt the Cougar would be appealing to the youth market that is currently dominated by Hondas and Acuras. Their California Cougar won the Ford Design Award at the 1998 SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Ford Focus

After working with Ford for sometime, Jack Nassar (CEO of Ford) presented Wings West with the very first Ford Focus in the United States. From this Wings West created the Focus W-type package. This 3-door hatchback won the Ford Design Award at the 1999 SEMA Show.

Honda Prelude

The Prelude is one of Honda’s top-of-the-line compact cars with it's high performance engine and good looks. This made the prefect platform for another Wings West project. Within three months of being completed, this Prelude won the Meguire’s Best of Show Award at the 1999 SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Mazda

Miata Mono-Posto Concept

Created by Mazda’s R&D center in Irvine, CA the Mono-Posto Concept is a one-off, one seater throwback to the fifties endurance racers and is an extreme expression of the Miata concept, "oneness between horse and rider." The Mono-Posto sports custom bodywork (only the headlights and taillights are stock), four-wheel disc brakes, a adjustable coil-over suspension, and is powered by a 190hp 1.8L DOHC turbocharged 4 cylinder motor.

Protege Street 2000 Concept

Crafted by Mazda to demonstrate how off-the-shelf aftermarket components could be used to create the "pro street" look, and create a car that is perfectly suited to handle everything from SCCA raod racing and autocrossing, to a favorite driving raod. The Protege is equipped with 172hp 4 cylinder motor, a race-proven MacPherson independent front suspension, and Mazda’s patented Twin-Trapezoidal Link rear suspension.
