1967 Bizzarrini

Ron & Diane Spindler of Van Nuys, California

Giotto Bizzarrini built a racing automobile and adapted it for street use. The 5300 Strada is a front to mid engine car with the headers crossing over the tops of one's legs as they stradle the engine. Drivers acclaim it is the most controllable vehicle on the road. Its balance is 50½% front and 49½% rear.

A very young Giorgetto Guigiaro designed the body at Bertone. The Corvette 327 cubic inch (5300cc hence "5300") produces between 350 and 400 horsepower depending upon configuration. This car has the Bizzarrini designed, ISO manufactured intake manifold supporting four 45 DCOE side draft Weber carburetors (one barrel per cylinder). The optional 7" front rims and 9" rear rims were offered wheels as opposed to the normal 6" fronts and 7" rears.
