Greyhound Friends for Life is a nonprofit, volunteer greyhound rescue, adoption, and advocacy organization, dedicated to finding loving and qualified homes in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California for former racing greyhounds.
The reward for adopters is the joy of sharing their homes with an affectionate, loyal, and grateful companion who will be a friend for life.


Gunn hosts this Palo Alto Unified School District program, which offers an oral/auditory approach. With the assistance of hearing aids, cochlear implants, note-taking aides, FM systems and other accommodations, students complete their high school program of instruction for grades 6-l2. Recent graduates are attending UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, Rochester Institute of Technology and Stanford.


La Comida de California is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing appetizing, nutritious and affordable lunch to seniors who live locally, and to enriching their lives by creating a cheerful, socially stimulating atmosphere while they dine.

Nine Lives Foundation is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare of all cats and kittens by providing rescue, medical and hospital, boarding, and adoption services. A no-kill facility that welcomes all cats and kittens regardless of their physical, medical, or behavioral conditions, our overriding goal is to place the animals that come to us in humane, responsible and loving homes.


Local Volunteers recording textbooks for people who cannot read standard print because of visual impairment, dyslexia, or other physical impairment.
