DICK COLE TO DO
CONCOURS MAGAZINE COVER

Dick Cole, noted painter, illustrator and watercolorist, has agreed to prepare the
Concours magazine cover. After meeting with Dick, discussing the type of feeling we were looking for - the Packard "Ask the man who owns One" feeling, Dick convinced us that he was the right man for the assignment. The fact that he had done two Pebble Beach Concours program covers with exactly the approach we were looking for certainly didn't hurt!
After graduation from UCLA and the Art Center College of Design, Dick worked in graphic design and art direction in New York and San Francisco. His many clients included Chevron, IBM, American Express, and Hewlett Packard. His many awards include those from the Art Directors Clubs and Societies of Illustrators. A fourth generation Californian, he has traveled widely, has a passion for jazz and classical music, and enjoys fly fishing and writing. Dick and his wife, Diane, share their home in rural Sonoma with their dog, Angus, and cat, Cleo.
