HOT RODS AT PALO ALTO

The Competition Classics exhibit, presented by Bell Microproducts for the second year, will have an added treat this year. Bruce Canepa, a long-time benefactor of the Concours, has agreed to put together a Hot Rod Class! Bruce's history in Rods is well documented. He will invite a class (12 Rods), provide the judges (because SCCA criteria isn't well suited to Hot Rods) and present three class trophies during the awards ceremony.

Last year, Bruce brought three racing Porsches to the Concours. He displayed a 1972 917/10 Spyder, a 1979 935 Coupe, and a 1980 Kremer K3 Coupe. Needless to say, each of these cars was a sensation. And if this wasn't enough, he also had examples of his upscale conversions of SUV's and Suburbans on the field. This is one busy guy!

We will be using the standard entry forms for the Hot Rod class. The forms are available by calling the Concours Office (650) 948-1027, by telephone from Ed Gillis (650) 969-9236, or off our web site at www.paconcours.com.
