OTIS CHANDLER
Named Honorary Chair

Mr. Otis Chandler, the noted car collector and President/Owner of the Vintage Museum of Transportation and Wildlife, is the Honorary Chairperson for the 32nd Annual Palo Alto Concours.
Mr. Chandler is an avid classic and sports car enthusiast. In 1975, his 1939 Packard Rollston Town Car took First in Class at Pebble Beach and, in 1976, his 1932 Rolls-Royce PII Brewster Sedan won the Lucius Beebe Trophy, a prestigious award given in memory of an individual who lent great color to the early days of the Pebble Beach Concours. As part of the our Packard exhibit, Mr. Chandler is bringing two extremely rare, one-of-a-kind Packards to the Concours. The first is a 100 point 1934 Packard 12, Sport Sedan, Body by Derham, and the second is a 1934 Packard 12, Town Car, Body by Bohman and Schwartz, created for the famous singer/actress, Jeanette McDonald.
Mr. Chandler's connection to Stanford University goes back to 1950 when he graduated with a BA in History. He continues to serve on the Stanford Athletic Board and helps in fundraising whenever possible. He has also served for many years as a Trustee of the University. Mr. Chandler's oldest grandson is currently a junior at Stanford.
Mr. Chandler's Packards, together with other extremely rare and beautiful Packards scheduled to be on display, will certainly be the highlight of the 32nd annual Concours.
