THE 2009 CONCOURS d'ELEGANCE GOES GREEN

PALO ALTO CONCOURS d'ELEGANCE AT STANFORD

The 2008 Palo Alto Concours had exhibits from Toyota's Highway to the Future featuring hybrid Toyotas, Cal Cars, exhibiting a 100 mpg Toyota Prius and California Air Resources Board Drive Clean Campaign, which featured a Tesla roadster, a natural gas powered Nissan, a Lexus Hybrid, and an ultra clean burning Mercedes, all of which drew interested crowds of spectators.

Because of the interest of the public and the press, the Palo Alto Concours will expand its green car exhibit for 2009. Possible additional participants are the California State Alternative Vehicle Organization which promotes hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and A Better Place which plans electric powered autos and service station infrastructure to provide fully charged exchange batteries, and General Motors with a Chevrolet Volt.
