SCCA TO AWARD CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY

The SCCA, sanctioning body for judging at a number of northern California Concours, has decided to award a trophy to the automobile that collects the most points at sanctioned Concours during 2008. This trophy, last awarded in 1989, will be decided by a point system and SCCA will track the points earned by each car. The point system is as follows:
For entering the Concours
For First in Class
For Second in Class
For Third in Class
For Best in Show 		- 5 points
- 5 points
- 3 points
- 2 points
- 10 points

The Championship Trophy will be awarded at the last Concours of the 2008 season. The winner will not be eligible for the trophy in 2009, however the winning automobile is exempt only from Champiopnship competition and not from class or major awards.
